1. forgot

- 까먹었을 때 쓰는 표현, 보통 과거형으로 많이 씀

- forgot + to V

I forgot to turn off the stove : 가스렌지 불 끄는 걸 잊었어

I forgot to email the client : 고객에게 메일 쓰는 것을 잊었어

I forgot to text him : 그에게 문자 보내는걸 잊었어

I forgot to pay the rent : 월세 내는 걸 잊었어

 

- forgot + about 명사 : 보통 추상적인 명사를 쓸 때

I forgot about the deadline : 마감기한을 잊었어

I forgot about the dinner plans : 저녁 약속을 잊었어

* 보통 약속을 일컫을 때 plan을 많이 쓴당

 

2. remind

- 상기시킬 때 쓰는 표현

Could you remind me to call the airline? : 나 까먹지 않게 항공사에 전화하라고 알려줄래?

Could you remind me the rent due date? : 월세 납부일을 잊지 않게 다시 알려줄 수 있어?

It's on the 17th of every month : 매달 17일이야

I'll be more careful next time : 다음 번엔 조심할게
